Tour Itinerary
Virgin Mary’s House
We begin the day with a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary, a sacred Catholic shrine located near Ephesus. According to tradition, this stone house was the final residence of Mary, the mother of Jesus, brought here by Saint John. Since its discovery in the 19th century, the site has become an important place of pilgrimage, visited and blessed by Popes such as John Paul II and Benedict XVI.
Ephesus Ancient City
Next, we explore the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the most remarkable and best-preserved archaeological sites in the world. During your guided tour, you will walk along the marble-paved streets and discover the Odeon, Bouleuterion, fountains, temples, Library of Celsus, Great Theatre, Roman Baths, agoras, and more. You will also have the option to visit the Terrace Houses (entrance fee applies). The visit offers deep insight into Ephesus’s role as a center of commerce, culture, and early Christianity.
Lunch
We will enjoy a delicious local lunch before continuing the tour to Pamukkale.
Pamukkale & Hierapolis
After lunch, we drive to Pamukkale, famous for its spectacular white travertine terraces created by thermal waters. You will have free time to walk along the terraces and enjoy the panoramic views.
We will also explore the ancient city of Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will visit the Roman Theater, the Temple of Apollo, the streets and gates of the ancient city, and the impressive necropolis. You will also have the option to visit the Archaeology Museum and swim in the Antique Pool (Cleopatra’s Pool) where submerged ancient columns create a truly unique experience.
At the end of the tour, transfer back to your hotel or Izmir Airport.
